My Dad is a full on CL addict. I know what it's like to be affected by addiction.
I'm to blame too. I showed him how to use Google Advanced Search to search all CL regions for cars. Since I did that he has flown to at least 8 different locations, bought a cheap classic car, and towed it home with a rental truck. He has piled up so many projects that he literally is in his garage 7 days a week.
Be careful. Be very careful. Don't end up like my old man. You'll withdraw from society and spend 99% of your free time in the garage.

Dunno if this will make you feel better or not but we're all screwed. I'm a workaholic and I can't do my own wrenching cause I'm working. But I am an addict too. I've spent all my available credit (other than credit for my mortgage) on car loans.
I am on 3 car loans and co signed on another one. My car payments add up to so much that I stopped making 401K contributions to help with cash flow.

All it takes is the right women that's fine with it. His GF doesn't care how much time he spends on his cars as long as he's home in time for dinner. She has her own hobbies so they do their own thing during the day.

Also remember to drive around looking for deals. My pops saw the outline of a Porsche under a tarp and left a note. He got a call back and ended up getting a 356 for $19K. He got the engine running within 2 days then got it painted. Hell of a deal. The car will be worth a lot more when done.

am in discussion with the owner of the car, as it seems a legit deal. If my car had been rear ended by the morons during this mornigns snow laden morning commucate I would alreayd be on my way to pickup the car.
But much late night forum browsing last night has confirmed that I don't want to get involved in a h6 swap. Confirmed this morning when I went to get my CL hit
